How should I prepare for my bridal preview?
You can prepare by showing up with clean, dry hair. Also by having no makeup on. I recommend coming in the same neckline and color as your dress. Bring any veils, or hairpieces that you will want in your hair as well extensions if you plan on having them. Bring any inspiration pictures of hair and makeup as well! (bonus if it’s the artists work) I send out a complete guide for this when you book!
How long will my preview take?
Depending on what service you’re getting, each service takes anywhere from 60-90mins. I schedule extra time on top of this time just in case to go over our plan for your special day and for any changes/alterations you may have for your look.
What’s all included in bridal bookings?
When booking with KDarlingBeauty you will receive a digital and physical contract, a timeline, and for all my brides booking for the 2023-2024 season you will receive a personalized goodie bag+ more exclusive offers when you inquire!
What is your travel fee?
My travel fee is dependent on location! The first 25 miles are free!
Can I book a preview before paying a retainer?
I currently do not offer bridal previews without a retainer. Previews are reserved for my booked brides at this time.
Am I able to book Non-Bridal services with you?
Of course! I currently offer hair, makeup, and facial services at this time.
What does your facial consist of?
I offer a standard facial, this is more geared towards relaxation. This does not include any extractions or intense exfoliation and is not meant for starting a facial routine. My facial consists of simple cleansing, light exfoliation, warm towels, toner, and moisturizer. This facial does not include any intense manipulations and is meant for a simple meditative relaxing experience!
How Do I Book My date?
You can inquire about your date by clicking on the contact form. I will contact you about scheduling if I have your date available. I require a non refundable retainer which will be required when booking your date. Once booked I will send out a contract with additional information!
Do you Travel?
Yes! I travel. I am an on site hair and makeup artist. I travel any distances. Travel fees apply from my home to the location of your event, For anything 1Hr 30 mins or farther from me a hotel is required. This will be chosen and booked by me and reimbursed by you. Parking fees are also included in the travel fee. A hotel is also required if start time is earlier than 8am. This is only if you have requested that for your start time.
Where are you based out of?
I am currently based out of Lansing MI!
Am I responsible for finding a second stylist?
I am not responsible for finding a second stylist for you however I am able to reach out to my favorite stylists to see if they are available for select weddings, If an additional stylist is available a second deposit will be required. This will be handled within the first week after booking. If I am the only stylist available I will contact you to inform you that you need to search for an additional stylist.
What is your pampered retreat service?
The pampered retreat is traveling spa services. This may apply to anyone looking to experience facials, hair, or makeup with a group of friends whether that is in-home or any place you may have traveled, especially for Girls weekends, Women’s retreats, Bachelorette parties or simply just hanging out with your friends at home. This beats trying to schedule with a spa/salon. A retainer is required for these services and a travel fee as well. A retainer and travel fee will be required for any additional artists I may need to bring with me as well.
